What happens to the photos you send us.
Children's photos are the most personal thing a parent can share. Here is the whole journey, start to finish.

This page describes how the shop is built. Retention periods and some details are proposals that still need business and legal confirmation.
The journey of a photo
Upload
We check each photo, save it again as a fresh image and remove hidden details like location (EXIF and GPS). The original file is not kept.
Private storage
Photos stay in private storage with no public links. Our pages open them with links that expire after 10 minutes.
Illustration
Only the prepared photo goes to our AI illustrator, in a mode that does not train on it. It is used to draw this book and nothing else.
Your approval
You see every page. Nothing moves on without you.
Print
The printer receives the final pages, never your photos.
Deletion
Photos are deleted 30 days after delivery, or sooner if you delete the book before printing.
The details
Your consent comes first
Before your first upload you tick a consent box. The wording has a version, and we save which version you agreed to and when.

Checked before we keep anything
We accept JPEG, PNG, WebP and HEIC photos up to 15 MB. A photo is stored only after it passes our checks.
AI that does not learn from your child
Our AI illustration providers work through business modes that do not train on what we send. We record which provider drew which book. We will list the providers and their data terms here before launch.
No face recognition
We do not use face recognition and we do not store face measurements (biometric templates). The illustrator works from your photos and a short note about things you can see, like hair, glasses or a favourite T-shirt.
Only you can open your book
A book project opens only with your private project link or your account. Our system logs never contain your photos, private links or access codes.
How long we keep things
Proposal · Default periods. They can be adjusted and still need business and legal confirmation.- Unfinished books that were not ordered

What we never do
- Sell or share your data. The courier gets a name, phone number and address only.
- Use your child's photos or pages to train any AI.
- Show your child in our marketing without your written permission.
- Keep photos "just in case". They are deleted on a schedule.
What you control
- Delete a book project, photos included, any time before printing starts.
- Remove or replace any photo before you approve the book.
- Ask for a copy of your data, or for all of it to be deleted, on WhatsApp.
- Say no to any use in marketing. We ask first, in writing.
Where your data lives
Our shop runs on servers in Germany (Hetzner), and photos are kept in private Cloudflare R2 storage.
Egypt's Personal Data Protection Law (No. 151 of 2020) has rules for sending personal data outside Egypt. Before launch, we are confirming with a lawyer what this needs, such as a licence and your consent.
